Ronald David Floyd, Jr. - lovingly known as Ronnie - passed away October 26, 2025, at Morristown-Hamblen Hospital in Morristown, Tennessee. He was born December 9, 1971, in Cheverly, Maryland, to Sharon and Ronald Floyd, Sr.
Ronnie had a big personality and a spirited nature that made him unforgettable. Growing up, he was known for his adventurous side; and for keeping life interesting wherever he went. He had a passion for fast cars, working on homes, fishing, attending concerts, and caring for animals.
He began his carpentry career working alongside his father at RCC Carpentry; where he developed a deep appreciation for craftsmanship. Ronnie cherished the time spent learning from his father and took great pride in the projects they completed together. When his father later opened Ron’s Custom Homes, Ronnie carried that same dedication and enthusiasm into their continued work side by side.
Ronnie is survived by his mother, Sharon Floyd; his sister, Nita; his daughter, Jessica Lee; and his granddaughter, Raegan Lee. He was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
A service to celebrate Ronnie’s life will be held at 6PM, Thursday, October 30, 2025, at Farrar Funeral Home in Dandridge. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service.
His memory will live on in all who knew and loved him. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family through the following link:
