Thomas “Tom” Marion Floyd, Jr entered the arms of his Lord and Savior on Sunday, December 14, 2025, at the age of ninety-three.

Tom was born in Atlanta, Georgia, the son of the late Thomas Marion Floyd, Sr and the late Bonnie Tech Beddingfield Floyd. He was also preceded in death by his wife: Shirley Eugenia Sherbert Floyd; a daughter: Patricia M Hart; a son: Thomas Patrick Floyd; and a sister: Barbara Farr.

Tom was a graduate of Georgia Tech with a degree in chemical engineering. He then had a successful career in the plastic industry as an engineer. He enjoyed crafting things with his hands and became quite a craftsman of stain glass. He loved his church and you may see some of his stained glass at Jesus Our Risen Savior Catholic Church. He was a man with a loving heart and was always willing to help others. He will be remembered for his wonderful sense of humor.

Left to cherish Tom’s many memories are his daughter: Donna Ellen Jacobs (husband, Jeff); a son: Timothy “Tim” Scott Floyd (wife, Linda); a sister: Sandra DeBruhl; seven grandchildren; and four great grandchildren; a daughter-in-law: Sarah Bailey (husband, Raymond); and a son-in-law: Tommy Hart.

A funeral mass will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, December 19, 2025, in the sanctuary of Jesus Our Risen Savior with Father Gio officiating. The entombment will follow the service in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens – Heritage Chapel.

Tom’s memories will continue to live in the hearts of his family and everyone that had the pleasure of meeting him.
