Ronald Wade Foley

Ronald W. Foley, a cherished soul whose love for the sea and sunsets was as profound as the melodies of Jimmy Buffett, has set sail on his final voyage. At the age of 87, under the tranquil cloak of night on October 29, 2024, Ronald left us, leaving behind a legacy of adventure. Ron's zest for life was as vast as the seas he adored. In the words of Buffett, "Some of it's magic and some of it's tragic, but I had a good life all the way".
Born to Joseph and Ruth Foley, and brother to Steve, all of whom had previously embarked on their own journeys beyond. Ron's memory will be treasured by his beloved daughter, Terri Foley Grant, son-in-law Doug, and granddaughter Nichole; sister-in-law Dru; niece Traci, and her daughters Jordan and Leah. His best friends, Bill and Marion, will miss the camaraderie, shared adventures, and stories. As Ron believed, the purpose of life is to gather stories. Whether the stories be grand or sad, for without stories to tell, then perhaps we haven't led a full life.
Ron gathered many stories. Ron's life was a testament to the beauty of embracing one's passions, and his spirit will continue to inspire us. Fair winds and following seas, Captain Ron; your journey continues in our hearts.
