It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ronald Rocco Fortunato, who passed away on July 16, 2025. He was born in McKeesport PA on May 23, 1938, to Joseph and Angeline Fortunato. He was a devoted husband for 65 years to Angela Teresa Fortunato (Sugar) and a loving father to Thomas, Joanne (deceased) and Michael. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

He served in the U.S. Navy. He was the owner of R&R Mechanical Contracting Company for 20 years. He enjoyed many activities including skiing, bowling, golfing, bike riding, listening to jazz music, and attending hockey and football games. He will be remembered for his devotion to family and friends.

In addition to Angela, Ronald is survived by his children; Thomas (Lorri), and Michael (Jill); grandchildren, Steven Welsh, Joseph (Samantha), Ronald (Maureen), Rachel and Jeremy; great grandchildren, Leonardo, Schenley, Atlas and Rocco; brothers Alvin (Arlene) and Joseph (Barb). He was preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Angeline, his brother Richard, and his daughter Joanne.

A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St. Theresa of Kolkata Parish, Church of the Resurrection in Brookline on Saturday, August 16, 2025, at 10:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Benedictine Nuns at Saint Emma Monastery, 1001 Harvey Ave., Greensburg, PA 15601(www.stemma.org) in his name.
