Ronald L. Gochenauer, 85, of Chambersburg, PA passed away Saturday, June 15, 2024 in Hollidaysburg Veterans’ Home, Duncansville, PA. Born August 11, 1938 in Chambersburg he was the son of the late Willis “Bill” and Violet Mae (Lehman) Gochenauer.
He served with the United States Navy from October 27, 1955 until his honorable discharge July 20, 1959. While serving he spent a number of years on the USS Intrepid during his service.
Ron is survived by two children, Melanie Logan (Tom) of Chambersburg and Randy Gochenauer of Cumberland, MD; four grandchildren, Adam Logan (Mikayla), Sara Logan, Krista and Brandi Gochenauer; three great-grandchildren, Leia, Kaylin, and Kendal; three siblings, Rhonda Oberholzer (Dwaine), Karen Rosenberry (Wayne), and Genevieve Rosenberry; and a number of nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two sisters, Rose Turner and Roxanne Long and her husband Vincent.
Graveside services will be private at the convenience of the family in Parklawns Memorial Gardens, Chambersburg, PA.
Arrangements are entrusted to SimpleChoice Cremation Services, Inc. of Chambersburg.
