Linda D. Gochenauer

Linda D. Gochenauer, 78, of Chambersburg, passed away February 26, 2025, at Mercy House of Chambersburg. She was born October 27, 1946, in Waynesboro, PA, to Robert and Vera (Bingaman) Christophel
Linda graduated from Greencastle-Antrim high school in 1964 and from Monroe College of Business in 1966. For many years, Linda enjoyed bowling on Tuesday nights in a women's league at Nellie Fox. She also enjoyed reading and knitting.
Linda is survived by her mother Vera, children; Chris (wife of Jim) Rhodes, Ray (husband of Patty) Gochenauer Jr, and Robert Gochenauer, grandchildren; Damien Elser, Benjamin Elser, Austin Gochenauer, Jenna Gochenauer, Zachary Gochenauer and Jimmy Rhodes, great-grandchildren; Liam Elser, Finnegan Elser, Emersyn Elser, Everett Elser, Ayden Rhodes, Olivia Rhodes, as well as another on the way. She was preceded in death by her father; Robert, grandson Sebastian Gochenauer and great-grandson Emmett Elser.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 4, 2025, at 11:00 AM, at Macedonia United Brethren Church, 11887 Worleytown Rd, Greencastle. The family will receive friends on Monday evening from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home, Ltd., Chambersburg, as well as for one hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday. Interment will follow the services at the church cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Linda's name may be made to Macedonia United Brethren Church or to Mercy House.
