Memorial Services for Mr. Ronny Hampton will be held Tuesday, January 6, 2026, at 10:00 AM at First Presbyterian Church. Reverend's Chip Cowsert and Rhett Payne officiating. A reception will be held in the church Fellowship Hall immediately following the service.

Mr. Ronald "Ronny" Hampton, age 78, of Meridian, MS passed away Wednesday, December 10, 2025, at his home.

He is survived by his children, Bradley Grey Hampton and Kelley Ann Jones; grandson, Hampton Jones.

He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Hailey Nicole Jones; parents, George Thomas Hampton, Sr. and Ethyl Hobgood Hampton; brother, George "Bubba" Hampton, Jr. and uncle, Thomas Hampton.

Ronny graduated from Meridian High School in 1965 where he played football in Meridian's Golden Age. He went to Mississippi State University on a football scholarship and graduated in 1969.

Ronny was President of Cobb Construction Company and then, Vice President of Meyer and Rosenbaum, when he retired.

Ronny was a member of First Presbyterian Church where he is the youngest man to be elected Elder. He was also a Sunday School Teacher. Ronny was a Pulpit Supply Pastor for the denomination. Ronny's faith was strong and studied the Bible and many Christian authors.

He was a member of the Rotary Club, where he served as President. Ronny was on the Board of Directors at Lamar School and was a volunteer assistant football coach in 1972.

Ronny was a good friend. He was hilarious and could fill a room with joy and laughter, he never met a stranger. He was also very generous and thoughtful.

He loved to travel and spend time with his dogs.

Ronny requested the following men to be his Honorary Pallbearers BB Archer, Grey Cobb, Arnold Feinstin, Butch Gibson, Tommy Irwin, Jim McAllister, Jerry Murphy, Bob Nunnery, Steven Parr, Johnny Pollman, Karl VanDevender and David White.

Memorial donations may be made to The Lauderdale County Animal Shelter, Marion, MS; Roadside Rescue, Marion, MS or First Presbyterian Church in Ronny's memory.
