Ronald K. Herit

Ronald K. Herit, age 94, passed away peacefully on January 27, 2026. He was born on December 15, 1931, and lived a life marked by devotion to family, faith, and craftsmanship.

Ronald was the beloved husband of the late Agnes Herit, with whom he shared a loving and faithful marriage. He was a devoted father to his daughter, Gerri (Randy) Essenmacher, who was the pride and joy of his life.

He was the dear brother of his late twin sister, Barbara (Frank) Janicki, and is also survived by several loving nieces and nephews who will cherish his memory.

Ronald was a skilled craftsman with a true passion for woodworking. His hands created pieces that reflected not only his talent, but also the care and patience with which he lived his life. His faith was a guiding force, providing him strength, purpose, and peace throughout his years.

Ronald will be remembered for his quiet dedication, strong values, and the love he shared with those around him. He leaves behind a legacy of faith, family, and craftsmanship that will endure in the hearts of all who knew him.

A visitation will take place at the Wm. Sullivan and Son Funeral Home 8459 Hall Rd. (3Blks. E. of Van Dyke) Utica, on Sunday (February 1st) from 4pm to 8pm, with a prayer service at 6pm. A funeral Mass will take place at St. Lawrence Catholic Church 44633 Utica Rd, Utica, MI 48317 on Monday (February 2nd). He will lie instate at 9:30am until the time of Mass at 10am. Internment will take place at St. Lawrence Cemetery.
