Mr. Ronald Charles Hurlocker, Sr., 83, of High Point went to his eternal reward, Wednesday, September 24, 2025 at 8:15pm. Ron was born May 25, 1942 in Randolph County, son of the late, Charlie Albert and Helen Irene Earnhart Hurlocker. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Sandra Lee Hurlocker and his sisters Doris Hill and Judi Hurlocker.
Mr. Hurlocker was a member of Hickory Chapel Wesleyan Church and High Point First Wesleyan Church. Ron attended Poplar Ridge School, graduated from Trinity High School, and was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He worked for over 40 years as an upholsterer at Drexel Heritage Furniture and Bakers Furniture. He was a dedicated member for over 55 years of The Junior Order United American Mechanics (JOOAM) which established the National Orphans Home in Lexington in 1925 to care for orphans.
Mr. Hurlocker is survived by a son, Ronald Charles "Ron" Hurlocker, Jr. and his wife Shelli Hurlocker of Leesburg, VA; one sister, Brenda Hurlocker Monroe and her husband, Wayne of Trinity; two grandsons, Ronald Charles "Charlie" Hurlocker III and his wife Lydia Hurlocker of Leesburg, VA and Joseph Roy "Joey" Hurlocker and his significant other Hope Brothers; great grandson, Ronald Charles "Archive" Hurlocker IV of Leesburg, VA; two bonus great grandkids, Harrison Lee Beauchamp and Audrey Jane Beauchamp.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Monday, September 29, 2025 at Cumby Family Funeral Service, 1015 Eastchester Drive in High Point. A service will follow at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Ron Hurlocker Jr., Reverend Jim Borgman, and Reverend Jeff Turcotte. Burial will follow at Floral Garden Park Cemetery. Friends and family are invited to a funeral dinner at Hickory Chapel Wesleyan Church, 301 Hickory Chapel Road,
High Point, North Carolina 27260 following the burial for a celebration of Ron's life.
