Ronald Johnson entered the Kingdom of Heaven on Friday, September 19, 2025, at the age of 61. He was a native of New Orleans, LA and resident of Houston, TX for the past 10 years. Ronald was a proud graduate of O. Perry Walker Senior High School Class of 1982. After high school, he attended SUNO and completed certifications to begin a career in Prosthetics and Orthotics. However, he found his true fulfillment when he made a career transition to Facilities Maintenance with Orleans Parish Schools and later with the Houston YMCA, a role he loved and embraced wholeheartedly. Loving husband of Shawn Jones-Johnson. His daughters from his prior unions, Alelia Johnson (Patricia T. Bartley) and Alairah Johnson (Chris Richardson). Grandfather of Destin Lee. Bonus father of Alacia Richardson, Ireion Wright, Jamal Wright, and his bonus grandchildren Aaleyah and Malaysia Wright. Son of the late Huey P. Johnson and Ethel Mae Johnson. Brother of Linda J. Drake, Denise J. Allen, Cheryl J. Rivers, Donald Johnson (Velma), Lonnie Brister, Wanza Jackson, Reverend Michael Jackson, Hereina Johnson, and Huey P. Johnson, Jr. Preceded in death by his grandparents. Ronald is survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Rock of Ages Baptist Church, and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Celebration of Life at Rock of Ages Baptist Church 6533 Acre Rd. Marrero, LA. on Friday, October 10, 2025, at 10:00a.m. Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service at the church. Interment: Restlawn Park Cemetery-Avondale, LA.
