Richard Earl Williams transitioned peacefully into eternal rest on Thursday, January 22, 2026, at the age or 62. He was a native of New Orleans, LA, a former resident of Utica, MS and presently residing in Marrero, LA. Richard Earl attend Utica Consolidated High, where he was a standout basketball player. His passion for the game continued into his forties, playing in many tournaments with friends and family. He carried that same determination for the game into his work, where he operated his own lawn care business for more than 25 years. Richard Earl, also found joy in restoring antique cars, exhibiting an eye for detail and craftsmanship, earning him numerous awards at car shows. His vision was to start a classic and vintage car rental business for weddings, proms and other special occasions. Through reserved and humble, Richard was known for his wisdom, sense of humor, gift for telling a good story, and as a person who never meet a stranger. He was always ready to lend a helping hand to family and friends. Beloved husband of Kim Marie Williams. Loving father of Latasha Curtis, Richard Earl Ratliff, Richell Jones, Earl Reginald (Larise) Jones, and Keima Ann Jones. Stepfather of Keywanda (Kevin) Diggs, Eric (Kristy) Jones, Ingrid Jones, Kennesha Jones, Ashley Jones (Leroy) Gaddis, and Keyonkia Jones. Devoted son of Maggie Williams and the late Garfield Williams. Grandson of the late Wilbert Noel, Sr. and Minnie Bell Noel. Brother of Dianne (Calvin) Williams, and Eunice Williams. Nephew of the late Berdia Nelson, Carey Frazier, Wilbert Noel, Jr., and Willie C. Noel. Richard Earl is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 3 nieces, 3 nephews, and a host of great nieces, great nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a Wake Service at Davis Mortuary Service, 6820 Westbank Expressway, Marrero, LA on Friday, February 6, 2026, from 5:00 p.m.-7:00p.m. Funeral Service will be held at St. John Missionary Baptist Church, 5456 Morrison Rd. Utica, MS on Saturday, February 7, 2026, at 12:00p.m. Bishop KC Fisher, officiating. Visitation will begin at 11:00a.m. until service time at the church.
