Ronald E. "Ron" Kemp age 62, of Wellston, passed into eternal rest on October 28th, 2025, to meet his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and to be reunited with his infant daughter Seany, mother Carol, and several other relatives who preceded him in death. Finally free from a lifetime of physical struggle and pain!
Ron was born April 6th, 1963, in Kalamazoo, the son of David E. Kemp and Carol Ann Cleveland-Kemp. He was also proudly the son of his bonus mom Nancy Kemp.
He was well known to be very intelligent and knowledgeable, fascinated by science. He attended Kalamazoo Central High School and was a graduate with the class of 1981. He went on to earn his Associate's Degree in Architecture from West Shore Community College.
On a very special day near and dear to their hearts, Ron married the love of his life Tammy Hilliard Kemp on February 11th, 1989, in Wellston
He was employed as an Architectural Draftsman and worked several years to provide for his family.
He has written and published several books as a result of his lifelong studies of and passion for science. He was very proud of his works. His family is very proud of his accomplishments that were several years in the making as well. Ron was also an avid video gamer. Ron absolutely cherished and loved his family. He loved to visit, talk and catch up. He often said nothing made him happier than his grandchildren. He loved them so deeply and profoundly and awaited seeing them. His daughter and sons made him so proud, and he never missed a chance to tell them. His absence will forever be felt.
Surviving are his wife of 36 years (39 total together) Tammy, daughter, Brandi Brizo both of Wellston, two sons David J. (Sara) Kemp of Marshall, Anthony (Nichole) Kemp of Augusta, his father David E. (Nancy) Kemp also of Wellston and his most cherished five grandchildren Bentley Kemp, Avery Kemp, Brody Kemp, Keegan Kemp and Peyton Kemp. His four siblings Patricia Martin of Wellston, Diane Hamilton of Bloomingdale, Jim Kemp and Angel Deloach both of Wellston.
Cremation has taken place entrusted to Oak Grove Funeral Home. No services are planned at this time. In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to help support the family through this difficult time.
