Born September 30, 1946 in Gregory, South Dakota, he was the son of Kenneth and Gladys (Liegel) King.
Ron graduated from Central Community College in Grand Island, Nebraska in mechanical Drafting.
Ron was employed as Truck driver for 15 years out of Nebraska. He also worked as a mechanic for 10 years before opening his own mechanic shop Quick and Easy repair (1992–1996) in Grand Island, Nebraska. After moving to Clifton, CO in 1999 he worked for flying V, driving truck and Groendyke trucking for a short time.
He was married to Beth Janssen in 1966 and had two daughters, Tina Stevens and Peggy King. In 1985 he married Pam Christy and had two daughters, Brittany King and Ashley Davis (King). In April 2019 He married Carol Oberly-King.
Ron is a loving, and dedicated husband, father and grandfather. He enjoyed camping, fishing and spending time with his granddaughter Lotus.
Ron is preceded in death by his father Kenneth King; mother Gladys King (Liegel), sisters Karen Shomer and Katherine Hannahs.
Ron passed away peacefully with his two youngest daughters Brittany and Ashley by his side.
He is survived by his loving wife Carol, his brother Raymond, (Laurie) King. Daughters; Tina Stevens, Peggy King, Brittany King and Ashley (Jordan) Davis.5 Nieces and 1 Nephew.Grandchildren: Michael, Sarah, Clare Stevens, Michaela, Majesta Valasek, Enosh Weiner, and Lotus King.Great Grandchildren: Layla, Saniya, Maira (Sarah’s), Izack (Michael’s), Randy, Samuel, and Eliseo (Michaela’s).
Celebration of life/ Happy 1st heavenly Birthday will be held on September 30, 2025 at 4PM at the Clifton Christian Church in Clifton CO.
