Ronald Lee Kolpack Sr., of Deal Island, Maryland, died on January 13, 2026, at his home. He was a beloved father and is survived by his sons, Ronald L. Kolpack Jr., of Smithsburg, MD, and Joseph W. Kolpack Sr., of Boonsboro, MD; his daughter, Kristy M. Kolpack (Tommy), of Hagerstown, MD; and a nephew who was like a son, Donald W. Kolpack Jr., of Frederick, MD.
He was a loving grandfather to Michael Haffield, Kailynn J. Chapman, Joseph W. Kolpack Jr., Brady M. Kolpack, Marcus A. Pryor, Jaydin C. Kolpack, Makenzi M. Kolpack, and Kaiden J. Kolpack. He is also survived by his two sisters, Deborah Kolpack DeGroat and Jackie Davis, along with several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by William Staples Sr., Rose Crowell, James "Jimmy" Johnson, Frank Staples Sr., Bettie J. King, Stanley N. Kolpack Jr., Robert S. Kolpack Sr., Diann Kolpack Critzer, and Donald W. Kolpack Sr.
Ronald was born on January 23, 1953, in Washington, DC, the son of the late Stanley N. Kolpack Sr. and Thelma B. (Lucas) Kolpack. He spent his early childhood in Washington, DC, where he attended local schools. Ronald worked as a professional handyman until his retirement in 2015. He was a Christian and always kept his faith in our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
He was an avid Washington Redskins fan and enjoyed music, singing, hunting, fishing, and all sports. Above all, he loved spending time with his family and friends. In his earlier years, he also dedicated over a decade volunteering as a coach for youth baseball, football, and basketball.
Services: A celebration of life for family and friends will be held on March 7, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM, at the Brunswick American Legion,18 S. Maple St., Brunswick, MD 21716.
