Ronald E. Kotlarek, age 83 of Garfield Heights, passed away peacefully on October 14, 2025. Born on May 3,1942 in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Benjamen and Helen Kotlarek (nee Robejsek.)
Beloved husband of the late Carol (nee Kovacs) ; loving father of Kimberly Novak (Christopher), Kevin Kotlarek and the late Bryan Kotlarek; dear grandfather of Elizabeth Novak (Candace), Sarah Novak, Morgan Kotlarek and Connor Kotlarek; brother of the late Bernadine Sylvester(the late Richard), the late Jean Kundrat (the late John), the late Joyce Russo (the late Richard), the late Beverly Wolf (the late Charles), the late Carol Glinka (the late Robert), the late Howard Kotlarek (the late Janice), the late Richard Kotlarek and Thomas Kotlarek (Donna). Loving uncle and great uncle of many.
He was a proud Army veteran who served in Okinawa as a Military Policeman. He worked as an auto body repair man and tow truck driver for his father-in-law at Kovacs Garage. He was very athletic and played football in high school. He played and coached men's softball for many years.
He had a great sense of humor and was always making people laugh. He loved vintage cars and enjoyed going to car shows. He was a great friend to so many. His children and grandchildren meant the world to him. He will be deeply missed.
A Celebration of Life will be held in the Spring of 2026 in the Cleveland area with the date and location to be released at a later time.
