Ronald C. Kulow
PRICE-Our beloved dad, brother, papa, and friend, Ronald Chris Kulow, 81, passed away from a sudden illness, peacefully surrounded by his children, on June 8, 2024, at Intermountain Medical Center in Murray, UT.
He was born September 2, 1942, in Kenilworth, Utah to Christopher and Arilla Kulow. He graduated from Carbon High School in 1960. He then served his country in the military based in Germany. Upon his return, Ron worked for the State Road Department and then started his career in the coal mines, where he worked for over 30 years, then retiring from Pacific Corp at the age of 55.
He married the love of his life, Rosanne Martino, on October 27, 1967, in Price, Utah.
Ron was a lifelong resident of Carbon County who was blessed with an incredible family and many lifelong friends. After retirement, he and Rosanne spent many wonderful times traveling across the country together.
Ron loved watching sports and playing his boards, especially baseball, basketball, and football. He loved camping, hunting, and fishing with his family. Many great memories and traditions were made at Indian Creek Campground and other Utah lakes and rivers. He loved the slot machines and looked forward to annual trips to Nevada whether with Rosanne, his brother Jim, or Jodi.
Ron always looked forward to his yearly trip with his "Last Man Standing" group. He had several amazing buddies who took this trip together. They ventured to many wonderful places.
After Rosanne's passing eight years ago, Ron would enjoy traveling to Saint George to spend time with his brother-in-law, Dan. The two would eat great food and spend time gambling in Mesquite.
For the past eight years, Ron was able to continue traveling and enjoying life, thanks to Jodi and Hunter, who took him on vacations and assisted with all his needs.
Ron was a great and gentle man who will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
Survivors include two daughters and one son, Kim (Rick) Anderson, Green River, WY, Jodi Kulow, Price, UT, Ronnie (Sara) Kulow, Firth, ID; brother, Jim (Vicki) Kulow, Price, UT; sister-in-law, Janice Kulow, Price, UT; brother-in-law, Sam (Diann) Martino, Price, UT; eight wonderful grandchildren, Jessica, Nicholas, Zachary, Wyatt, Hunter, Harley, Bailee and Austin; four great-grandchildren, Hayli, Gavin, Arey and Maeve; and his fur buddy, Kona.
Ron was preceded in death by his beautiful wife, Rosanne Kulow; parents, Christopher and Arilla Kulow; brother, Larry Kulow; brother and sister-in-law, Dan and Sarie Guy; and nephew, Mikel Kulow.
Funeral service, Saturday, June 15, 2024, 10:00 a.m., Mitchell Funeral Home (233 East Main Street) in Price, Utah. The family will be at Mitchell's Friday evening from 6:00-7:00 p.m. and Saturday one hour prior to service. Interment, Price City Cemetery.
