Negaunee, MI – Ronald LaForest of Negaunee Michigan, and seasonal resident of St. Augustine Florida, entered into eternal life on Tuesday August 30th at home with his wife Lenore at his side.
Ronald was born April 18th 1933 to Albert and Loretta LaForest and graduated from St. Paul's Catholic School. After graduation from High School Ronald enlisted and served 4 years in the United States Navy. Ronald worked for Cleveland Cliffs Iron Company and retired in 1991.
After retirement Ron and Lenore enjoyed spending summers at their camp in Gwinn Michigan and wintered at their residence in St. Augustine Florida. Ron was an avid outdoorsman and loved hunting and fishing and spending time at deer camp.
Ron is survived by his loving wife of 66 years Lenore, his son David his partner Joseph, son Anthony his wife Penny, daughter Terri and her husband Dennis. 8 grandchildren, Christopher, Jessica, Dan, Mike, Bryan, Danae, Sarah, and Craig. 14 great grandchildren, Damien, Ava, Leah, Anastasia, Briella, Ebyn, Noi, Aubrey, Jada, Kinley, Jordyn, Lucas, Kamden, Lilliana, and several nieces and nephews.
Ron was preceded in death by his Mother Loretta, Father Albert, his sister Betty, and brothers Albert, Jack, and Terry.
A special thanks to all of our friends and neighbors at Moultrie Oaks who meant so much to Ron and continue to mean so very much to his wife Lenore. Thank you for your support and friendship.
A celebration of his life to be announced at a later date.

Lenore, I don´t know if Ron ever told you how he helped me but I never forgot. He knew I was having family problems and he volunteered to work in my place so I could have Christmas with my family. For that
I will be forever grateful. He was one man with a huge heart.
