Ronald James Landry, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, was born on August 1, 1948, in Port Arthur, Texas. He departed this life on May 29, 2025, in Groves, Texas, leaving behind a legacy of love and dedication that touched many hearts.

Ronald dedicated an impressive 37 years to his career at Frito Lay, where he excelled in sales, earning the respect and admiration of colleagues and clients alike. His remarkable ability to connect with people transformed not only his career but also enriched the lives of those around him. A proud graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School in 1967 and the University of Southwest Louisiana in 1972, Ronald showcased his talents in track and field, a passion that he maintained throughout his life.

His vibrant personality shone brightly among friends and family. Ronald was a devoted member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church, drawing strength and community from his faith. He found joy in hobbies such as bowling and cruising, which allowed him to create lasting memories with those he loved. Known for his warm demeanor and unwavering generosity, Ronald was deeply involved in the Circle of Hope, contributing positively to his community and supporting those in need.

He leaves behind his loving wife of 45 years, Gail Landry, who has shared countless memories with him in their home in Port Arthur. Ronald is also survived by his sons, Derek Landry and his wife, Melinda, of Orange, and Devin Landry and his wife, AnnMarie, of Port Neches. He adored his grandchildren, Brady Landry and Payton Landry, cherishing every moment spent with them. His sister, Susan Landry of Beaumont, remains in his memory, along with numerous nieces and nephews who will carry forward his legacy of kindness and compassion. Ronald was also accompanied by his beloved dog, Molly, who offered him companionship and joy. He will be missed by his dear friend, Elaine Hatton.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd and Maydell Landry, along with his sister, Gail Marie Wall, and brother, Eddie Landry.

The visitation and funeral service to honor Ronald’s life will be held on June 3, 2025, at Melancon Levingston Funeral Home, located at 1605 Avenue H, Nederland, Texas, 77627. The visitation will commence at 2:00 PM, followed by the funeral service at 4:00 PM.

As we reflect on the life of Ronald James Landry, we celebrate a man who embraced life with vigor and humility. His spirit will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing him.
