Ronald Larrison Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by McCorkle Funeral Home - Rockton on Dec. 12, 2025.
Ronald G. Larrison, 85, passed away on December 10, 2025, after a short hospital stay. Survivors include his wife, Charlotte Larrison, and his step-children, Eric and Marie Cannell, Leif and Tracy Cannell, Jennifer Cannell and David Daney, and Sherri and Rob Zimmerman, 14 step-grandkids and 6 step-great-grandchildren.

Son of Mable and George Larrison, Ron was born in 1940. Ron was a product manager at a Rockford manufacturer and worked for many years at Porter Brothers Blacktop in Roscoe, Illinois. Ron retired in 2007 after almost 15 years with the Winnebago County Highway Department. Ron's family would like to thank the lovely staff of River Bluff Nursing home, where Ron lived for the last 3 months of his life. Ron was a Harley Motorcycle owner and participated in many events and long rides with his large group of biker friends! Ron enjoyed shooting targets as part of a Cowboy Single Action Shooting Club and loved animals-especially their dog Banjo, and their cats Sugar and Molly.

We invite Ron's friends and relatives to join us for a visitation service on Saturday, January 10, 2026 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at McCorkle Funeral Home - Rockton Chapel, 767 N. Blackhawk Blvd., Rockton, IL 61072. Cremation Rites were Accorded.
