It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Ronald Lee, a beloved father, grandfather, and esteemed member of the business community. Ron was born on September 9, 1946, in Magee, Mississippi (Simpson County), and peacefully departed this life on July 9, 2025 Houston, Texas. He leaves behind a legacy of love, adventure, and hard work.
Ron enjoyed a fulfilling career as a self-employed business owner, successfully operating Ford Contractor Supply in Angleton, Texas, and Lee & Associates Surveying Group in Alvin, Texas, prior to moving to Angleton. His ventures not only showcased his entrepreneurial spirit but also contributed significantly to the Brazoria County Community.
An avid outdoorsman, Ron was passionate about hunting and fishing. He traveled the world to pursue these hobbies, finding joy and solace in nature's vast landscapes. Additionally, he was a dedicated tree farmer, nurturing the land he cherished.
In 1988, Ron encountered the love of his life, Peggy (Vacek) Palmer, when she visited his store to purchase plywood as a precautionary measure for Hurricane Gilbert. Their connection blossomed into a beautiful partnership filled with joy and adventure, a "whirlwind" that enriched both their lives.
Along with Peggy, Ron is also survived by his daughter Jamie Joyce, daughter Ronda Lee, his brother Tommy Lee and sister-in-law Sharon, his sister Debbie Jennings and brother-in-law Lee, and his cherished granddaughter Savannah Joyce.
The family wishes to recognize his super secretary, Melinda Goff, and his shop supervisor Phillip Darthard, whose years of dedication to Ron and Ford Construction Supply are deeply appreciated. Ron's family would also like to thank Andrea Jordan and Diane Vaclavick for all of their help during this time.
Ron was preceded in death by his parents Edward and Ina (Holyfield) Lee.
The graveside service is set for 10:00 a.m. on Friday, July 18, 2025, at Lee Cemetery in Pinola, Mississippi. Ron will be profoundly missed by all those whose lives he touched. May he rest in peace, having left an indelible mark on our hearts.
Services are entrusted to Palms Funeral Home in Angleton, Texas as well as Tutor Funeral Home in Mendenhall, Mississippi. Expressions of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.palmsfuneralhome.com and www.tutorfuneralhome.com
