Friends will be received at the funeral home on Sunday October 26, 2025 From 2pm to 4pm. A funeral service will begin at 4pm.

Ronald Lyon, 74, of Lake Katrine passed away at Health Alliance Hospital in Kingston on October 20, 2025. Born October 24, 1950 in Oakland, CA, he was the son of the late John and Charlotte (Debolt) Lyon.

Ronald was a multi-talented broadcaster and rare "jack of all trades" in the field of radio. He was a News Director, Public Affairs Producer, Sports Broadcaster, Radio Personality, Engineer and General Manager for various local radio stations including WGNA, WQQQ, WHVW, and WCZX. He also umpired baseball games for the Hudson Valley Umpire Association and coached T-Ball for his daughter Madison's team. He was the "fun dad" type. He was known in the family for his affinty for year-round barbecuing (even in several inches of snow), loyalty to the Mets, and camping trips to Lewey Lake. He was an avid conversationalist and loved discussing sports, the weather, and politics. In his younger years, he also enjoyed bowling and skiing.

Ronald is survived by his son, Christian Lyon, his son-in-law, Tom Zhang, his daughters: Olivia Lyon and Madison Lyon, Madison's mother Debra Lyon, and his grandson, Logan Zhang; as well as many close friends and extended family members.

In addition to his parents, Ronald is predeceased by his brother Warren.
