His Legacy Ronald Joseph Malczewski, 86, passed away June 21, 2025. He was born on August 10, 1938, in Detroit, Michigan to Frank Malczewski and Rose (Gudzial) Malczewski. Ron married the love of his life, Clara Ott, on April 25, 1969, in Detroit, Michigan. Ron had a career in engineering, he worked for GM for 9 years, and finished his career at Ford Motor Company, retiring after 35 years. He was extremely intelligent and wanted to know and try everything. Ron had his pilot's license and loved to fly. He loved baseball and the Detroit Tigers; he played in the Tiger's Fantasy Camp and a senior men's baseball league and traveled all over the world with his team. Ron was an avid reader, photographer, and history buff. He loved Egypt and had always hoped to visit someday. Ron had a big sweet tooth and loved chocolate. He could be extravagant and enjoyed the finer things in life. He was wickedly funny and loved to tease. Ron was very independent and a wonderful provider to his family. His family liked to tease him about being chronically late, but spending time with his family was most important to him. Ron was deeply loved by his family and friends; he will be greatly missed.
His Family Ron will be missed by his wife, Clara Malczewski; his children, Deborah Malczewski, Kristina (Jason) Cantelli; brother, Bob Malczewski; grandchildren, Surrie Malczewski and Samuel Cantelli. He is preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Rose Malczewski; and siblings, Elaine, Richard, and Jim.
His Farewell Ron's family will gather together privately. Memorial contributions are suggested to The American Cancer Society. Please leave a message of comfort for Ron's family at 1-877-231-7900, or sign his guestbook at www.borekjennings.com.
