Ronald J. Marini of New York City and Little Compton, RI passed away suddenly on April 12, 2025. Born on November 13, 1940 in Quincy, MA he was the son of the late Joseph and Julia (Porreca) Marini.

As a young child the family moved to Braintree, MA where Ron attended Archbishop Williams High School. After high school he pursued his love of art at Boston College of Art, Boston, MA. Subsequently he enlisted in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War.

Upon leaving the Navy Ron continued his artistic endeavors at Pratt Institute, Brooklyn, NY, graduating in 1970. After Pratt, heembarked on a long and successful career as a Fashion Designer. Ron also spent many years teaching fashion at Pratt, FIT and several other schools.

Ron loved figure sketching and drawing, often attending classes in New York and RI. He possessed a green thumb and was known for his beautiful flower garden. While he travelled the world for both work and pleasure, he was always happy to return home to his favorite city, New York. But he was even happier to be digging in his garden in Little Compton, RI. Ron was talented, loyal, kind and loved by all who knew him. His will be laid to rest beside his beloved parents in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree, MA. Ron's passing is a loss that will be deeply felt by his family, friends, former students an associates.
