Ronald McCarty

Ronald E. McCarty, Sr, age 90, passed away peacefully on November 14, 2025, at his home in Hale, MI. He was born on February 8, 1935, to John and Edrie (Polite) McCarty in Detroit, MI. After graduating from high school Ronald joined the United States Air Force and proudly served his country until being honorably discharged in March of 1957. Ronald worked as a Paint Technician for Ford Paint and Dupont for 35 years, retiring in 1999. He spent his retirement putzing around his favorite spot, Sage Lake. Ron married Carol Ann Michalski on February 8,1958 in Detroit, MI. Ronald and Carol lived in Madison Heights until permanently moving to Hale, MI in 1980. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, and cooking. He loved music and dancing. He was a member of the Sage Lake Association and the American Legion in Hale, MI.
Ronald is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Carol, children; Joseph (Lisa) McCarty, Carl (Nancy) McCarty, Judith Sehi, and Kelly McCarty, 13 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. In addition to his parents Ronald is preceded in death by his daughter Edrie (William) Roe, son Ronald McCarty Jr., sisters Alberta Giannotta and Pat Farrar, and his brother John Y. McCarty.
