Through all of his sufferings and uncertainties in life, since September 11, 2001, Ronald Wayne McMorris, Sr. has remained faithful to his favorite passage in God's holy word, Isaiah 40:31 "But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint". On Sunday, April 19, 2015, Ronald Wayne McMorris entered into his eternal rest with his heavenly father and is suffering no more. Services will be held at Colyell Baptist Church on Tuesday April, 21, 2015 from 5:00-9:00 p.m. for the public, and to continue on Wednesday, April 22, from 9:00 a.m. until the Celebration of Life Service at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow at the Colyell Baptist Church Cemetery. Services will be conducted by Reverends Bill Holifield, Delmas Taylor, an Bill Pianki. Pallbearers to include Greg McMorris, Randall McMorris, Pete Watts, Edward Gore, Craig Harris, and Charles Thompson. Honorary Pallbearers are his grandsons Blake and Austin Cornett. Ronald Wayne, age 67, born March 6, 1948, was a member of Colyell Baptist Church, and a brother of the Masonic Lodge Hurd Merrill #454. He served as a Spec. 5 in the U.S. Army 1969-1970. He graduated from Southeastern Louisiana University. Married 48 years on August 19, 2015 to Mary Lou Goings McMorris. He retired from BASF Wyandotte. Preceded in death by parents: Reverend Lafayette George (L.G.), and Emma Lou Roberts McMorris; brother, Michael Ray McMorris; In-laws: Henry and Tennie Palmer Goings; sister in law: Peggy Wheat. Survived by wife, Mary Goings McMorris; daughter, Angelia (Angie) McMorris Cornett and husband, Shane Cornett; son, Dr. Ronald Wayne McMorris II and Karlin Caruso; son, Bradley Wayne McMorris; Grandchildren, Blake and Austin Cornett and a grand-daughter due to arrive May 2015; brother, Jerry Lynn McMorris and wife Gina; brother in law, Wayne Goings and wife Beverly; brother in law, Timothy Wheat; numerous nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made to Colyell Baptist Church at 19524 Hwy 42, Livingston, La. 70754.
