Ronald (Ding) Gene Meyer
Age 87 of Park Falls died peacefully, with his family by his side on Saturday September 7th, 2024 at Marshfield Medical Center in Marshfield. He was born January 6th, 1937, in Butternut, the son of Louis and Matilda "Tilly" (Brunner). After graduating High School, Ding was drafted to the U.S. Airforce where he served his country. On October 12th, 1957, he married Patricia Tapplin. He and his family spent some time in Milwaukee where he worked at American Motors. They moved back to Park Falls to raise their children and be close to family. Ding worked for over 30 years at Flambeau Papers. He was a family man who loved animals and watching the Packers, Brewers, and Badgers. He also enjoyed playing cards and board games with friends and family and going to breakfast each morning with his breakfast crew. Friends and visitors that came to Ding's home instantly became part of the family.
He is survived by daughters; Wendy Meyer of Park Falls, Tammy Hantelman of Mankato, MN, daughters-in-law Susan Meyer of Phillips, Lisa Meyer of Wausau, (10)grandchildren, (6)great-grandchildren, sister-in-law Joan Stuckenberg of Minocqua, his best bud/cat Bashful, and by numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Patricia, sons Ronald and Kenneth Meyer, and by (8)siblings.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday September 28, 2024 at "Ding's" home starting at 1:00pm
