Ronald J. Morrow Sr.

Funeral service for Ronald J. Morrow, Sr., 87, of Piedmont will be Tuesday, February 24, 2026 at 2:00 P.M. (CST) at the First Baptist Church of Piedmont with the Rev. Michael Ingram officiating. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service. Burial will be Wednesday, February 25, 2026 at 3:00 P.M. (EST) at Bethsaida Baptist Church Cemetery, 2519 U.S. Highway 80, Dublin, GA 31021. Mr. Morrow passed away Sunday, February 22, 2026 at Gadsden Regional Medical Center. Survivors include one son, Randy Morrow (Claudia); one daughter, Rhonda Mathis; five grandchildren, Gerad Mathis, Garrett Mathis, Iva Mathis, Josh Morrow, and Jason Morrow; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Pallbearers will be family and friends. Honorary Pallbearers will be members of the Friendship Sunday School Class and the Piedmont Carpenters for Christ. Mr. Morrow was born in Newnan, Georgia and had been a resident of Piedmont for the past 46 years. He proudly served in the United States Army 82nd Airborne as a paratrooper. He was a member of the Lozahatchee Masonic Lodge # 97 F&AM and was a member of the Shriners. He was a longtime and active member of the First Baptist Church of Piedmont where he served as a deacon for many years and was also a member of the Sunshine Club, Piedmont Carpenters for Christ, and the Friendship Sunday School Class. Mr. Morrow retired as a sales manager with Liberty National Life Insurance Company and was the recipient of numerous awards throughout his career. He was an avid woodworker and enjoyed fishing, playing golf, gardening, and working in his flowers. Mr. Morrow was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Morrow; parents, Margie and Raymond Morrow; and sister, Linda Foster. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Piedmont Carpenters for Christ.
