Ronald George Passfield, of Oakwood Hills, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 21, 2025 at the age of 89.
He was born May 8, 1935 in Wauconda, the son of the late Joseph and Mildred (nee Dowell) Passfield.
Ron was a proud veteran of the U.S. Navy who enjoyed camping, fishing, boating, sports, and enjoying time with his family and friends.
Ron is survived by his children from his first marriage, Rick (Linda) Liles and Romaine Oilschlager; his children from his second marriage, Daniel (Kim) Campbell, Lori (Carmelo) Pinzon, Jodi Bennett, Kelly (Mark) Herron, and David Passfield; his grandchildren, Dallas and Mitchell Oilschlager, Nicole Ingebritson, Ryan Pinzon, Ashley Herron, Cody Passfield, Paige Bennett, Josh Passfield, Jennifer Herron, and Skylar Passfield; his great-grandchildren, Chloe, Andrew, Peyton, Faith, Mia, Evan, Brody, Brian, Leti, Abby, Everleigh, Lexie, Dean, Vivian, Victor and Valerie.
In addition to his parents, Ron was preceded in death by his loving wife, Rose; and his son, Ron.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, February 26, from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 12 p.m. at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 419 E Terra Cotta Ave (Rt. 176) Crystal Lake. Burial will follow at Crystal Lake Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ron's memory to a local animal shelter of your choice.
