Ronald Joseph Plamann, age 74, of Little Chute, passed away on August 22, 2022 at his home. Ron was born on November 26, 1947 in Appleton Wisconsin to Melvin and Virginia (Mauthe) Plamann. He was a graduate of Appleton High School, Class of 1966. After graduation he served his country as a member of the U.S. Army National Guard. On June 15, 1968 he married the former Connie Ulrich, and they enjoyed over 34 years together before she preceded him in death on January 27, 2003.
Ron enjoyed spending time with his family and the great outdoors. He loved time at the family cottage, which he built for their retirement home. His favorite past times were fishing, bow hunting, and bird hunting with his favorite dog, Mitzie. Back in his younger years, you could find Ron either at the softball diamond, or the bowling alley having a drink or two with friends. Whenever you were around dad, you were never short of a good laugh, his sense of humor was one of a kind and could leave you laughing for hours.
He is survived by 3 daughters, Ronda (Jeff) Lorenz; Pattie (Scott) Witthuhn; Erin (Timothy) Teske; 4 grandchildren, Zachary and Matthew Miller; Taylor and Colby Witthuhn; sister Nancy (James) Bethe, as well as nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Connie, brother-in-law and sister-in-law James (Bonnie) Ulrich, and Connie s parents Edward and Bernice Ulrich.
There will be a memorial service on Friday, August 26, 2022 at 5:00pm at Wichmann Funeral Homes, Superior Street location in Appleton. There will be a visitation at the funeral home on Friday from 3:00pm to 5:00pm.
In lieu of flowers and other expressions of sympathy, a memorial fund will be established.
The family would like to thank Fr. Ron Belitz for coming to Ron s home after he passed away to offer support and prayer. Thank you to the good Lord above, for taking Ron so peacefully, at home in his recliner.
