Ronald Thomas Preston

NEW YORK MILLS – Ronald "Ron" Thomas Preston, 67, has gone to be with his Lord on Wednesday, February 16, 2022, at home.
Born on May 20, 1954 in Utica, Ron is the son of the late Edward T. and Wanda (Czerwiecki) Przestrzelski. He was a graduate of Whitesboro Senior High School, earned a Bachelor's Degree at Hamilton College, and had several Master's degrees one, especially in Theology. Ron managed the Drexel Building in Philadelphia, was VP for Tofts Association in Philadelphia as a Safety Consultant, and was a professor at Villanova University.
Ron will be fondly remembered for his kind-hearted, caring, and giving nature. He loved to read, was a great conversationalist, and enjoyed traveling in the US and abroad with Katherine. Ron was loved by his family, friends and had a very special bond with his sister, Virginia (Ginny).
Surviving are two sisters, Bonnie Przestrzelski and Virginia Cragg; nieces and nephews, Sharon (Carmin) Choppie, Emory (Sherry) Cragg, Jr., Tiffany, and Stephen; great-nieces and great-nephews, Jason (Megan) Jones, Nathan (Stephanie) Jones, Hannah Jones, Joshua (Sara) Cragg.
Ron was predeceased by his brother, Edward S. Przestrzelski; infant brother, Francis Przestrzelski; nephew, Edward S. Przestrzelski, Jr.; brother-in-law, Emory Cragg, and Katherine Preston, to whom he was once married.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend funeral services on Tuesday, February 22, 2022, at 1 p.m. at McGrath, Myslinski, Karboski & Nunn Funeral Directors, 470 French Rd., Utica. Inurnment will be in Holy Trinity Cemetery, Yorkville.
Ron's family extends their gratitude to Julie Gorczynski, PA, and Dr. Michael Kelberman for the care they provided to Ron over the years.
In lieu of flowers, remembrances in Ron's name may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (www.stjude.org). Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
