Ronald Dean Pylant, age 67, of Oregon, Ohio, passed away peacefully at home on October 21, 2024. Born on February 15, 1957, at Toledo St. Luke's Hospital, he was the cherished son of William C. and Doris (Grenier) Pylant.
Ronald was a proud graduate of Lake High School and Penta Career Center, where he honed his skills in welding. His passion for mechanics led him to the Motorcycle Mechanic Institute and a fulfilling career as a welder in shipyards, later becoming a mechanic for Jeep. His innate mechanical talent extended to tinkering with bikes and various equipment.
A man of diverse interests, Ronald loved watching races and fishing in his spare time. He was also a talented stained glass artist and enjoyed the camaraderie of playing cards and spending time with friends. His love for speed and competition was evident as he raced cars at Toledo Speedway. An avid reader, Ronald often visited the library, and he loved to tell people about what he read.
An adventurous spirit, Ronald traveled extensively, exploring places like Sturgis, Arizona, and Colorado, embodying the essence of a true nomad. He had a fondness for the Skillet in Walbridge, where he enjoyed spending time for a meal.
Ronald is survived by his beloved mother, Doris; his children, Josh Pylant (Carrie Moon) and Curtis Pylant (Jessica Pisano); his grandchildren, Joshua Pylant, Colton Moon, Blake Pylant, Leah Pylant, and Aubrey Pylant; his brother, David (Diana) Pylant; niece Darcy (Hayley) Pylant-Ruskinoff; nephew Derick Pylant; and great-nephews Memphis Jagger and Augustine Lee.
He is preceded in death by his father, William; sister-in-law, Diana Pylant; special friend, Heather Raynor; and great-nephews Brecken George and Zander.
A celebration of Ronald's life will be held at a later date. Memorial donations in Ronald's honor may be made to the care of the family.

I met Ron through his loving Mother Doris, He was a very kind loving person, a miracle baby, he had a funny sense of humor, and just loved his family and friends, and would go out of his way to help anyone..Iam greatful that his mother Doris, was able to share about our great savoir and Lord Jesus Christ with him, that is so important in this life, to the next.
I will miss him, and his funny stories, He loved his dear mother, she was so special to him. My deepest sympathy to everyone.
In Love and Christ,
