Ronald Dale Regan, age 75, of Belding, passed away early on Monday, October 6, 2025, following a brief stay at Blodgett Hospital under hospice care. Ronald was born on February 4, 1950, in Belding, Michigan, son of Orlo Floyd and Annis Marie (Crawford) Regan, both of whom preceded him in death. He graduated from Belding High School with the Class of 1969, where he was an accomplished athlete on both the Track and Wrestling squads. Ron worked at Federal Mogul for more than 35 years. During the 1990’s and 2000’s, Ron and his brother also ran a successful establishment on the east side of town called the Belding Saloon. Following his retirement, he had plenty to do as he loved to golf and enjoyed and gardening in season. He also played on area dart and pool leagues and was an avid hunter and coin collector. Ron enjoyed time spent with his family and his many friends.
Memories of Ron will be cherished by his daughter, Ecstacy Lyn (John Flanigan) Smith of Rockford; a grandson Hunter C. Flanigan; a sister Wanda Shannon of Whitehall, Michigan; a brother George (Linda) Regan of Greenville; several nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. In addition to his parents, Orlo and Annis, he was preceded in death by a brother, Lee Regan and a brother-in-law Marty Shannon.
Memorial Services will take place on Saturday, October 11, 2025, at Verdun Family Funeral Home, 303 S. Bridge Street, Belding, Michigan 48809, Pastor Paul Hulford officiating. The family will greet visitors beginning at 1:00 p.m. and the service will begin at 2:00 p.m. Those wishing to express their sympathy are welcomed to consider a memorial contribution in Ron’s memory to the American Kidney Fund.
