Ronald Edward Riddle, lovingly known as Dad, Bubba, Ron, Ronnie, and Pops, passed away on July 9, 2025, in Rockwall, TX, at the age of 76. Born on September 26, 1948, in San Antonio, TX, Ron's journey was one of hard work, and love in his own way. A proud 1967 Desoto high school graduate, Ron married Linda Katherine Acker in 1971, beginning a life rich in milestones. The birth of his son Jeremy in 1977 and daughter Jennifer in 1980. He earned his degree from Dallas Baptist University in 1978. Nothing made him prouder than watching Jennifer earn her bachelor's in educational studies and welcomed his treasured grandchildren by Jeremy: Elizabeth Grace, Sarah Faith, and Samuel Job.
Ron worked his way up in Logistics, lending his talents and leadership skills to fields such as medicine, industrial goods, and tech companies such as AMD in Austin. He served tirelessly at Pleasant Grove First Baptist Church.. He was passionate about traveling with family, yard work, all things Dolly Parton, and the Texas Longhorns. His apartment was covered in Texas Longhorn Pride. His leisure time often found him bowling, on the tennis court, or enjoying golf and volleyball when he was able to.
Ron is survived by his children Jeremy Riddle, Jennifer Henard,grandchildren, Ellie, Sarah, and Sam. As well as his siblings Byron Riddle and Wife Cyndi, Brenda Warner, Linda Brummett, and Harry "Donnie" Riddle, and remembered fondly by all who knew him. He is reunited in peace with his parents, Harry and Peggy Riddle, and sister Debbie Davey.
Thank you for your prayers during this hard time. We know Dad is in Heaven-no more hurting, just love and finally peace. We love you, Dad, Bubba, Ron, Ronnie, Pops; you'll be missed and remembered.
Graveside Service: Tuesday 07/15/2025 at 2:00 P.M. at Holy Redeemer Cemetery DeSoto, Texas.
