Joan Riddle, a devoted mother, grandmother, and current resident and beloved member of the McHenry community, passed away peacefully on July 9, 2025, in McHenry, MS. Born on April 18, 1955, in Gulfport she is, leaving behind a legacy of love, dedication, and warmth.
Joan made significant contributions to her career as an apartment manager and property manager, in addition to her extensive work in banking and finance. Her professional achievements were complemented by her personal interests, as she cultivated a passion for gardening and caring for her family. Joan found joy in nurturing her vibrant garden, filled with flowers that echoed the love she shared with those around her and she loved time on the water. She was not only an excellent cook but also cherished spending time with her grandchildren, whom she adored deeply. Her love for family was evident as she created lasting memories through travel and adventures in the great outdoors, often exploring National Parks with her husband.
Joan is survived by her husband of 55 years, Mike Riddle; children, Laura Parks (Chuck), Cheryl Campbell (Chris), and Michael Riddle, who carry on her spirit and values. She is also remembered fondly by her grandchildren, Morgan, Evan, Aubrey, Donovan, and Brayleigh, who will miss their grandmother's nurturing presence. Joan is survived by her siblings: Kirby Anderson (Anita), Bruce Anderson (Janie), Larry Anderson, Cathy Woods (Jeff), and Janet Johnson, as well as her sister-in-law, Debbie Anderson, and brother-in-law, Kerry Keller. Additionally, Joan leaves behind a loving extended family of 27 nieces and nephews, all of whom held her in profound affection.
Preceding her in death are her parents, Cordell and Grace Anderson, alongside her siblings, Mickey Anderson and Brenda Keller, who now welcome her with open arms.
A visitation will be held on July 17, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM, both taking place at Temple Baptist Church, located at 14190 Dedeaux Rd, Gulfport, MS. The interment will follow at Biloxi National Cemetery at 12:30 PM.
Joan Riddle’s legacy will live on through the countless lives she touched with her kindness and love. She will be dearly missed but fondly remembered by all who knew her.
