Ronald “Ron” Johnson, 76, of Lake Zurich, passed away on September, 5, 2025. He was born on March 1, 1949, in Chicago to the late William and Mary Jane Johnson. He worked for the U.S. Postal Service for nearly 40 years, retiring as a supervisor from the Highland Park Post Office.

A true Chicago sports fan, Ron loved his White Sox and the University of Illinois Illini. He also enjoyed traveling, fishing, and trying new foods, often with a glass of good wine. Ron was a fan of cooking shows, always fascinated by new recipes and techniques.

In retirement, Ron enjoyed his time working at Arlington Race Track.

Ron is survived by his children, Jennifier (Chris) Harrison and Greg (Valari) Johnson; grandchildren, Taylor Harrison, Ryan and Alyssa Michmershuizen, Wesley Johnson; his brother, Mark (Sue) Johnson, Sister-in-Law, Marilyn Johnson, his nephew, Kyle Johnson and by his longtime companion, Nancy Rix.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Alan Johnson.

Visitation will be on Saturday, October 11, 2025 from 11 AM until the memorial service at 12:30 PM at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 941 S. Old Rand Rd., Lake Zurich, IL 60047.
