Ronald “Ron” Persinger, 77, of Kingsport, TN, passed away peacefully on Wednesday morning, June 18, 2025, at Holston Valley Medical Center. Ron was born and raised in Kingsport and he attended Sullivan West. He had a lifetime career at Eastman Chemical Company and retired in 2003. Outside of his time at Eastman, Ron loved spending time woodworking and working on cars, but the love of his life was his wife of 51 years, Wanda. Ron loved gospel singing, the 23rd Psalm, and spending time with his daughter and grandson.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jessie and Amanda Persinger; brother, Larry Ellis Persinger; and sister, Carolyn Persinger.
Ron is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Wanda; daughter, Teresa Ward; grandson, Aaron Peters and wife Kelly; sister, Kathleen Poole; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; and special friends, Adam Wilson, Nick Williams, and Alise Edmonds.
