Ronald L. Shomper

BERRYSBURG- Ronald L. Shomper Sr., age 84, passed away suddenly, December 15, 2025, at his home. He was born on February 26, 1941 in Halifax, PA the son of [the late] Joseph and Mary (Davis) Shomper.
He was married to Grace (Miller) Shomper for 28 years and after she passed, he was the long time companion of the late Patricia Szives.
He is survived by his children, Ronald Shomper Jr, Halifax, Theodore (Michele) Shomper, Halifax, Lonnie (Beth) Shomper,Halifax, Rodney Shomper, Berrysburg, Corey (Amanda) Shomper, Berrysburg and Sharon Green, Lykens; Grandchildren, April (Tommy) Ploutz, Harrisburg, Megan Prowell, Halifax, Kandyce Shomper, Lykens, Donika Shomper, Lykens, Dakota Shomper, Lykens, Shyanne (Joshua) Casner, Halifax, Vaughn Shomper and Zayne Shomper, Berrysburg; Great Grandchildren: Jame Miller, Maddison Ploutz (Jack Prowell), Andrew Straub, Estyn Shomper and Arabella Armstrong; Brother, RIch Shomper, Millersburg.
He was preceded in death by a son, Bruce Shomper; Grandson, Jeremy Shomper, and siblings, Jim, Joe, Jack, Leroy, Clair, Clayton, John, Betz Shomper, Verna Rummel, Jane Webster, and Linda Gonder.
Ronald enjoyed working with his hands, picking up trash and working in the junk business.
There will be a visitation held at Hoover-Boyer Funeral Homes Ltd., Millersburg on Thursday, February 26, 2026 from 6-7 PM, followed by a memorial service starting at 7 PM.
