Ronald Lee Skelley, Jr was born May 6, 1973 and passed away on May 3, 2023 at the age of 49. He was preceded in death by his father Ronald Lee Skelley, paternal grandparents and maternal grandparents.
Ron is survived by his children Hailey Lynn Skelley (26), Alexander Burke Skelley (21) and Aidan Michael Skelley (19). Ron also leaves behind his mother Janet Stroup, stepfather Robert Stroup, sister Nicole Way, niece Jenna Clark, stepmother Dawn Skelley as well as his siblings Paul Skelley, Kyle Skelley, Ryan Skelley and Dayle Cavanaugh.
Ron was a native of the Northern Virginia area and most recently had moved to Daytona Beach Florida. To say that Ron lived his life to the fullest is an understatement, for he was a man who knew how to seize the day and make the most of every moment. With a heart full of ambition and a spirit of adventure, he chased his dreams and lived life on his own terms.
Ron's charismatic personality was magnetic and caused him to make friends everywhere he went, and he thrived on those relationships, and he impacted the lives of numerous people.
Ron was an avid sports fan, and you could find him shouting at the tv on any given day cheering on the "team of the moment".
Though his journey has come to an end, Ron's legacy lives on through his children, who were the light of his life. Hailey, Alexander, and Aidan were the pride and joy of their father, and he loved them with all his heart.
Ron's passing is a sad reminder of the fleeting nature of life, but we can take solace in the memories he left behind.
As we say goodbye to Ron, let us remember him as the vibrant and charismatic man he was. May his spirit continue to inspire us to live life to the fullest, just as he did. Rest in peace, Ron.
A Family Hosted Celebration of Life will take place Saturday May 20, 2023, from 11am - 3 pm at the Little Rocky Run Recreation Center #3 located at 13900 Stonefield Drive in Clifton, Virginia 20124.
