Jean L. Skelley, 92, of Beverly, passed away on Sunday, March 9, at Hathorne Hill Rehabilitation Center in Danvers, after a short illness. Born in Beverly, Jean was the daughter of the late Arthur E. and M. Rose (Belanger) Sirois. She was the wife of the late George L. Skelley, with whom she shared 61 years of marriage before his passing.
Jean was a graduate of Beverly High School. She worked at Parker Brothers in Salem, she was a cafeteria worker in the Beverly school system, and she also worked as a home health aide. Jean enjoyed volunteering at the Beverly Senior Center for many years. One of Jean's favorite times of the week was going out with "The Girls" Rose, Thelma and Marge.
Jean is survived by two sons, Scott Skelley and Glenn Skelley and his life partner Nancy Noble of Beverly; four grandsons and their wives, Matthew and Amanda Skelley, Jonathan and Becky Skelley, Benjamin and Emma Noble and Jay and Katelyn Noble; eight great grandchildren, Emma, Jack, Lilah, Avery and Grace Skelley, and Julian, Eloise, and Wesley Noble; sister-in-law, Irene Snowden of Lynn and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Jean are private. The Skelley and Noble family would like to thank Hawthorne Hill Rehabilitation Center for taking such wonderful care of Jean. We could not have asked for better care takers.
