Ronald Steinbrook, 88, of Chillicothe passed 1:58 p.m. Sunday, February 22, 2026 at home following a brief illness surrounded by family.

He was born October 19, 1937 in Chillicothe to the late Fred and Ocie Allman Steinbrook. On February 3, 1958, he married the former Janet Lang who survives.

Also surviving are a son, David (Kay) Steinbrook, of Baroda, Michigan; daughter, Crystal Barnhart, of Chillicothe; grandchildren, Matthew Steinbrook, Andrew Steinbrook, Vanessa (Sean Skeens) Steinbrook, Erica (Andrew) Ellis, Ryan (Tanner) Lemaster, Ellen (Chris) Vogler, Rachel Lemaster and 10 great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a daughter, Natalie (Duane, who survives) Lemaster; son-in-law John Barnhart; and siblings, Lorretta (Don) Strausbaugh, Phyllis (Charles) Upton, Carolyn Sue (Francis) Strausbaugh, Fred (Charity) Steinbrook, Phillip (Denise, who survives) Steinbrook.

Ronald was a 1955 graduate of Chillicothe High School. He was employed at the Mead Corporation for 42 years, retiring in the early 1990s. He was a member of UPIU Local 731. Ronald enjoyed mushroom hunting, woodworking and spending time with his family. He was a regular at the Crispie Creme Donut Shop for years where he acquired the nickname "Sweet Pea." Ronald will be dearly missed.

There will be no funeral services. Visitation for family and friends will be held at the WARE FUNERAL HOME 2 to 4 p.m. Thursday, February 26, 2026.
