Mountain Home Texas - Ronald Scott Taboada, 53, passed away on October 22, 2024, in Mountain Home, Texas. Born on March 4, 1971, Ronald, affectionately known as Scottie, was a man whose laughter and generosity left a lasting impact on all who knew him.

Scottie attended primary and high schools in El Paso and Odessa, Texas, before pursuing further education at Odessa College. His career was as diverse as his skills, having worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant, hairdresser, custodian, and in Maintenance.

Scottie is survived by his step-sister, Julie Klassen and her husband, Rod; Step-brother Jeff; his brother, Bobby Taboada; and his niece and nephew, Ashley and Orlando. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joyce and Robert Taboada and husband, Ramond.

In line with his wishes, no services will be held. Those who wish to honor Scottie's memory can make contributions to Home Hospice or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, causes close to his heart. His kindness and vibrant spirit will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to know him.

My condolences to the Taboada family. I have known Scottie and his brother Bobby since our days growing up around the roller rink on into high school. He was a funny guy with a great personality.

Scottie and I have been friends for forever. We have helped each other get through more struggles than either of us would care to recount I'm sure. While it was difficult watching him decline as my husband and I cared for him this past year, it was my absolute honor to be there for him in the end and when he needed someone most.
