Ronald Teuber Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Caring Cremations - Chicago on Feb. 12, 2026.
Ronald C. Teuber, age 90, of Elmhurst, IL, passed away on February 11, 2026, at Hinsdale Hospital.

A funeral service will be held at 12:00 PM on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, at the First Congregational United Church of Christ, 235 S. Kenilworth Avenue, Elmhurst, IL 60126. The family will receive visitors at the church on Tuesday from 11:00 AM until the time of the service. Burial will be private and held at a later date.

Ron was a proud 1953 graduate of Dye High School in Flint, MI. He went on to attend Michigan State University from 1953 to 1957, earning a degree in Political Science. A lifelong Spartan, his love for sports was sparked in high school when he began broadcasting local games on the radio. He remained a dedicated fan of MSU (Go Green! Go White!) and Major League Baseball, specifically the White Sox, Orioles, and Tigers.

Ron honorably served his country in the U.S. Army and National Guard from 1959 to 1962. He enjoyed a distinguished 38-year career with the Social Security Administration, retiring in 1995. Following his first retirement, he embarked on a "dream career" as a recruiter for Michigan State University, where he spent 12 years before retiring a second time.

A pillar of his community, Ron was a member of the First Congregational Church of Elmhurst for over 50 years, serving on numerous leadership committees. He was a long-time member and two-time president of the Kiwanis Club of Elmhurst and remained highly active in the Chicago MSU Alumni Association, where he also served as president. He also belonged to The Seventh Day Adventist Church, Dwelling Place. While he enjoyed road trips and travel, his favorite activity was spending time with his beloved family and friends.

Ron is survived by his children, Craig (Liz), Karen Stevens-Howell (Robert), Dale (Kristina), and Tracey (Kirk Winger); his grandchildren, Jennifer, Nicole, Travis, Samantha, Alison, Joshua, Shyanne, Molly, and Brian; and his great-grandchildren, Emma, Addie, Dexter, Cole, Blake, Garritt, and James. He is also survived by his brother, Jack. He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Ruth, and his brothers, Bill and Ralph.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the MSU Spartan Fund. Please mail contributions to 535 Chestnut Way, Rm. 300, East Lansing, MI 48824, with "In honor of Ron Teuber" included on the memo line. Alternatively, donations may be made online at https://msuspartans.evenue.net/give.

I am sorry for your loss. Ron was an awesome man. I met Ron when we went to 1st grade in the old Graham school building. He was always in my life as we were in Youth Fellowship in the Graham Methodist Church which our parents help build. Also took piano lessons from his Mom. I valued Ron´s friendship all through school. Always looked forward to seeing him at the Alumni. The entire family was always an awesome group. Enjoyed them all. Will miss seeing Ron. Hi Jackie you are the only one left. You went to school with my sister Joanne who we lost a number of years ago.
