Ronald Percy Trim, 76, known affectionately as Ron, passed away peacefully on November 27, 2025, at Riverview Medical Center in Red Bank, New Jersey. Born on May 16, 1949, in the neighborhood of Kitty located in Georgetown, British Guyana, Ron's journey through life was marked by his loving nature and passionate spirit.
Ron's academic achievements were crowned with a bachelor's degree that paved the way for his successful career as a Power Engineer. He dedicated many years of engineering service to AES Red Oak in Sayreville, NJ, before retiring. His professional life was marked by diligence and a commitment to excellence, traits that were admired by his colleagues and associates.
A sports fanatic at heart, Ron's passion for soccer knew no bounds. He was an ardent supporter of Manchester United, a love that he shared with friends and family alike. His enthusiasm for the sport was infectious, and his knowledge of the game was unparalleled. Ron's love for sports was just one of the many ways he connected with those around him.
Ron's life was a testament to the power of love and passion. He approached every day with a loving heart, and his passion for life was evident in everything he did. His absence will be deeply felt by all who had the privilege of knowing him. Ron's memory will be cherished and kept alive through the stories and laughter he shared with everyone he met.
Ron was the cherished son of the late Doris Agatha (Maughn) and Ronald Anderson Trim. He was a beloved brother to the late Robert Trim and Deborah Alexander. Ron's legacy continues through his devoted wife, Orma (Hicks) Trim, with whom he shared a beautiful marriage since August 20, 1977. Together, they embarked on a new chapter in the United States in 1981, eventually making their home in Keyport, NJ in 1988, where they lovingly raised their children. Ron is survived by his loving children, Shallonda Trim of Arizona, Natasha Trim of New York, David Trim of Florida, Cindy Gantt and her husband Keith of Georgia, and Aisha McAulay of New Jersey. He was a guiding light to his siblings, Cheryl Trim, Reginald Trim, and Royston Trim with his wife Avril. His dear aunt Thelma Haynes, treasured cousins Charles and Joan Haynes, and numerous cherished nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends will fondly remember Ron's warm presence.
As we say goodbye to Ronald Percy Trim, we celebrate a life well-lived, full of love, passion, and unforgettable memories. Ron's journey on earth may have ended, but his spirit will continue to inspire and guide us. Rest in peace, Ron; your legacy will live on in the hearts of those you loved.
