Lisa A. Balletta

Lisa A. Balletta, a cherished wife, mother, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully on November 22, 2025, in Aberdeen, N.J., at the age of 58. Born on January 9, 1967, in Red Bank, N.J., Lisa grew up in Hazlet and later settled in Aberdeen, where she cultivated a loving home and raised her beautiful family.

Lisa's life was a testament to the power of kindness and love. She is survived by her devoted husband, Martin A. Balletta, and their two daughters, Mia and Kayla Balletta, who were the light of her life. Her legacy of warmth and caring also lives on through her siblings, Susan Coughlin and her husband Donny Van Dunk of North Carolina, Michele Bonner of Union Beach, and Paul Coughlin and his wife Eileen of Hazlet. Lisa was a special niece to Emily Balletta-Scoccimaro and a sister-in-law to Gerard Balletta and Nicole and Gary Sherrow. Her many nieces and nephews; Linda, Michael, Nikki, Robbie, Sean, Paul, Erin, Dylan, Gavin, and Brayden.

Lisa was a proud graduate of Raritan High School, where she formed many lifelong friendships and the foundation for her future endeavors. She went on to serve the community she loved as a Technical Assistant to the Aberdeen Township Construction Official. Her work with Aberdeen Township was not just a job; it was a reflection of her dedication to her community and her desire to make a positive impact on the lives of those around her.

A devout Christian, Lisa's faith was the cornerstone of her existence. She practiced her beliefs in her daily life, always offering a helping hand and a listening ear to anyone in need. Lisa's loving nature and kind spirit were the words that best described her, and these traits were evident to all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Predeceased by her parents, Michael and Margaret (Brennan) Coughlin, and her parents-in-law, Martin H. and Anna (Santopietro) Balletta, as well as her brother Daniel Coughlin, her Brother-in-law Larry Bonner, and uncle Frank Scoccimaro. Lisa's memory will be honored by her family as they continue to live out the values she held dear.

Lisa's departure leaves a void in the hearts of many, yet her influence remains indelible. She believed in the beauty of life, the strength of family, and the importance of community. As we say goodbye to Lisa A. Balletta, we celebrate the remarkable woman she was and the countless lives she touched with her extraordinary heart. Her story does not end here, for she has left behind a legacy of love that will continue to inspire and guide us all. May she rest in peace!
