Kenneth Dyer Jr., 77, passed away peacefully on February 23, 2026, surrounded by his family. He was born on April 21, 1948, in Newark, New Jersey. Kenneth grew up in Hazlet and graduated from Raritan High School. In 1966, he joined the National Guard, serving with pride. That same year, he began a long career as a Plant Engineer at Lily Tulip Corporation until 1983. He then worked as a Frequency Engineer at ComData from 1983 to 2001, followed by roles at K. Hovnanian until 2003 and Bayshore Hospital until his retirement in 2010. He and his beloved wife, Mary Dyer, were devoted partners for 59 years. Following retirement, Kenneth embraced a new chapter of life, moving to Wildwood, Florida. He and Mary enjoyed being snowbirds, spending winters in Florida and returning each summer to Tuckerton, New Jersey.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth Dyer Sr. and Ruth Dyer, his sister Joann Dyer, and his brother Thomas Dyer. He is survived by his wife, Mary Dyer; his son, Kenneth Dyer, and his wife, Linh; his daughter, Lisa Dyer McBratney; his son, John Dyer, and his wife, Sarah; and his daughter, Denise Jelinski, and her husband, David. He is also survived by his sisters-in-law, Theresa DiBella and Debbie Dyer. His cherished grandchildren are Sabrina Madia; Daniel McBratney and his wife, Andrea; Danielle McBratney; Jessica Dyer; Sean Dyer; Devin Jelinski; Eddie Dyer; and Derrick Jelinski. He is also survived by three nieces and 1 nephew.

Kenneth will be remembered for his strong work ethic, steady presence, and deep love for his family. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Family and friends are invited to gather and celebrate Kenneth's life at Laurel Funeral Home, 201 Laurel Ave., Hazlet on Thursday, March 5th from 4pm to 8pm.
