Ronald Veres Sr., 84, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family. Born in Perth Amboy, NJ, Ron made his home in Woodbridge for the past 60 years, where he built a life filled with hard work, devotion, and deep love for his family.

Ron is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years, Patricia Veres, and their four children: Eric Veres and his wife Lydia, Aaron Veres and his wife Michele, Ronald Veres Jr. and his wife Lisa, and his daughter Jennifer Hahn. He was the proud grandfather of 11 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren, each of whom brought him tremendous joy.

Ron spent 35 years as a dedicated ironworker, known for his strong work ethic and steadfast reliability. After retiring, he embraced his passion for fishing, becoming an avid fisherman who found peace and happiness on the water. He also had a lifelong love for collecting, finding joy in discovering and preserving the things that sparked his interest.

Ron will be remembered for his quiet strength, his loyalty, and the deep love he held for his family. His presence will be profoundly missed and forever cherished by all who knew him.

Private funeral services have been entrusted to the care of GERITY & CHUBENKO FUNERAL HOME, 411 Amboy Avenue, Woodbridge, NJ 07095.

Mary called me yesterday to tell me Ronnie had passed away. Honestly Pat, it was so hard to absorb. I just kept thinking he was always in the front yard doing gardening or remembering when he would get home from work walking up to the front door with his lunchbox in hand. Where did time and life go? All like it was yesterday. I miss that neighborhood so much. Yes, it has changed, but all the memories are in my heart. I will keep you, your children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren in my prayers. There is another bright star shing in the Heavens tonight. Love you Pat, Sally Aquila.
