Ronald Wooley Obituary
Of Wall, age 77, died on Thursday, May 2, 2024.
Ron was the husband of the late Marianne (Bock) Wooley who was a loving and faithful wife for 45 years.
He is survived by his children, Brian (Antonette Palmer) Wooley of North Huntingdon and Melissa (Chris) Anawalt of Monroeville and his 3 grandchildren, twins Jason and Morgan Wooley and Nathan Anawalt.
Ron is also survived by Antonette's daughter, Kayla Newhouse.
Ron was a 1965 graduate of Westinghouse High School and earned an Associate Degree in Heating and Air.
After his active-duty service with the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War, earning the Vietnam Service Medal and Vietnam Campaign Medal, Ron served in the U.S. Air Force Reserves from 1972-1993. He became a member of the United States Uniformed Services, essentially serving as a Police Officer with the Department of Defense at the Pittsburgh Airport, from where he retired in 2012.
Ron was a long-time member of the A.O.H. Division 17 in Monroeville. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed fishing.
Friends are welcome on Monday from 2-8 p.m. at the Patrick T. Lanigan Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 1111 Monroeville Ave., Turtle Creek, PA 15145, (412) 823-9350 where a brief Prayer Service will be held at 7:30 p.m.
A Graveside Service will be held at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies on Tuesday, May 7, 2024, at 1:30 p.m.
Memorial donations may be made to the Disabled American Veterans (D.A.V.)
