Passed away on April 3, 2025, in Las Vegas, NV, where he was a resident for the past 9 years.

John is survived by his treasured wife of 55 years, Susan (Molcany) Morvay of Las Vegas; his beloved daughter Tara Lynne (Morvay) Mulkerin Stone (Jeff) of Monroeville; cherished Bampy of Michael Morvay (Emily) Mulkerin of Carterville, IL, Remy Margaret Stone of State College and Gelsey Patricia Stone of Monroeville. He was preceded in death by his parents John L. and Patricia (Schweinberg) Morvay and his brother Mark Morvay.

John grew up in North Braddock and graduated from North Braddock Scott High in 1966. He went on to earn his bachelor's degree from Edinboro University in 1971. He began working as a young teenager in his father's gas station. He spent most of his career in sales / rentals in the moving and trucking industry. John devoted years to volunteering as a youth baseball coach and team sponsor.

It was John and Susan's dream to move to Las Vegas. John enjoyed the beautiful community of Mountains Edge with the Spring Mountains surrounding the valley. He especially liked that the sun shone nearly every day. John's favorite thing to do was finding new restaurants to try and playing video poker. He was a lover of all types of music from opera to 50's and 60's doo wop.
