Ronald Lee "Ron" Worley

GREENFIELD – Ronald "Ron" Lee Worley, age 80, of Greenfield, passed away Friday, February 27, 2026, at Springhurst Health Campus. He was born in Indianapolis on February 24, 1946, to James V. and Mary Jean (Pickering) Worley. He graduated from Arsenal Technical High School in Indianapolis in 1964. Mr. Worley attended college and served in the Marines as a Sergeant in Vietnam from March 13, 1966, until June 10, 1969. He married Rebecca (Muse) Worley on June 28, 1969.

He worked for the United States Postal Service in Cumberland, Indiana as a letter carrier for over 38 years, retiring in 2005, and was a member of the National Letter Carriers Union. Ron enjoyed Model Railroading, NASCAR Racing, golfing, hunting, fishing, bowling, and building model airplanes. He was a Master Storyteller.

He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Rebecca Worley; sons, David (Lisa) Worley, and Daniel (Tasie) Guenthner; grandchildren, Aaron Worley, Samantha (Terry) Dahlin, Collin Worley, and Rachel Worley; sister, Donna K. (Larry) Manship; brother, Marvin Worley; and many other family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.

A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held on Saturday, March 28, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory, 1484 W. US Hwy. 40, Greenfield, IN 46140. A Celebration of Life Service will follow the gathering at 1:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made by mail to the Little Red Door Cancer Agency, 1801 N. Meridian St., Indianapolis, IN 46202-1411. Envelopes will be available at the mortuary.
