Donald L. "Don" Edwards

GREENFIELD – Donald "Don" L. Edwards, age 74, of Greenfield, passed peacefully surrounded by family on Thursday, February 26, 2026. He was born in Indianapolis on October 15, 1951, to Donald Loyd and Geneva (McNeely) Edwards. He graduated from Warren Central High School in 1970. Don married his "Darlin" Linda Ann (Querry) on June 7, 1970, in Indianapolis.

Don worked for the Indianapolis Star and News, where he was a pressman from 1971 until 2016. Don was a graphic communications, IBT Local 128 union member of the Star and News for many years. He attended Brandywine Community Church. Don's greatest joy was his family, he especially cherished the time he spent with his wife, kids, and grandkids. He also enjoyed fishing and camping and praying over those he loved. He wanted to let people know about Jesus and His love.

Don is survived by his wife, Linda Edwards of Greenfield; children, Jodi (Brad) Fleck of Shelbyville, Jamie McKee of Greenfield, and Jared (Erin) Edwards of Greenfield; nine grandchildren, Olivia Hogan, Rebecca Klepper, Grace Fleck, Kit Fleck, Tyler McKee, Seth McKee, Luke McKee, Lilah Kocsis, and Wyatt Edwards; four great-grandchildren, Cleo, Maya, Eleanor, and Noah; and siblings, Sheila Bacon of Greenfield, Dan (Lorraine) Edwards of Indianapolis, and Jim (Sonya) Edwards of Markleville. He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Geneva Edwards; and granddaughter, Angel Edwards. Don is in heaven with His Lord and Savior, and those he loved that went before him, where he will continue to love and pray for us, until we are reunited one day.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory, 1484 W. US Hwy. 40, Greenfield, IN 46140. A funeral service will take place following the visitation at 1:00 p.m. Chaplain Brian Farnsley will be officiating. Burial will follow at Park Cemetery in Greenfield.
